historic moment for our dojo community
Junior Black Belt
In our Children’s Program, 10 students tested for their first-degree junior black belt, while an additional 6 students tested for their second-degree junior black belt. In our Teens and Adults Program, we welcomed another 10 students testing for various levels of black belt rank.
Together, these represented the largest test groups in the history of both programs. This was not only immensely special for our dojo, but also for the Okinawa Karate-do Association, which is the organization that our school represents in Okinawa, Japan.
Teens and Adults
Moments like these remind us that the dojo is more than a place to train. It is a place where character is forged, friendships are built, and lifelong memories are created.
Please join me in congratulating all of those who tested this weekend and in taking pride in what our dojo community continues to accomplish together.
AKTC hosted regional training seminar
Participants worked on various themes throughout the morning, led by various senior instructors in the association. The seminar focused on Circular Blocking Theory and Application; Fundamental of Movement; Power Generation and Application; and the Role of Compression in Sanchin Kata.
